The only disposable that I know of that does not contain SAP is Tushies and I'm not sure if they're made anymore.

FYI...for those in the USA, you can now get these diapers on Amazon. You can typically get free shipping if you spend more than $25.

That's a very good question, Michelle. A lot of people are wondering the same thing, so thanks for asking it.
Unfortunately, these cannot be composted in a home composter because you need specific conditions that can only be found in industrial composters. I believe that these kinds of eco-friendly disposable diapers are still better than the regular plastic ones, but don't expect for these to biodegrade within a few days in a regular landfill.

I have been reading reviews of these and other eco-friendly diapers...and I'm still not clear about whether you can really compost these. Can I put these in a home composter, or could they contaminate groundwater? Thoughts? Thanks for your insight!

Thank you for leaving a comment, Mindy!
These diapers do make me worry a little bit less about what's on my daughter's bum. The tabs are the only thing that bugs me a little, but you can definitely get used to them. I am hoping though that the company will improve those in the future.
I would also love it if there was no SAP in them, but when you think about it diapers without SAP would probably be a lot thicker and not as absorbent. If I had to use thick and not very absorbent disposables, I'd rather just stick to cloth diapers only (unless I REALLY needed them for travelling).

I saw your link on twitter and had to check this out! So cool. Now I wish I hadn't just bought some generic "babysitter" disposables. We do free babysitting exchanges w/ friends, so he only wears disposables about 4x a month.
